1 Day Tour to Debrezait Lakes and the surrounding     

         

Morning meet with METT  guide at the preferred departure point and time. Drive southward to Debre Zeit. Pass through the industrial area of the Southern Addis Ababa via the express road. Continue through scenic country side, villages and farmlands dotted with Tukuls (local thatched dwellings) viewing Mt. Zequla to the right and Mt. Yerer to the left and then to the crater lakes of Debre Zeit. There, view the lovely crater lakes of Hora and Bisheftu where many species of birds can be viewed. Some point depending on the visiting time, lunch at one of the various resorts by the shore of the lakes, then drive back to Addis Ababa.

Morning meet with METT guide at the preferred departure point and time, then drive southward through farm lands and typical villages to Debre Zeit. Visit the volcanic crater lakes there and continue to Koka Dam where the Awash River is harnessed to provide hydro electric power. Views the man made Koka Lake and visit the Hippo pool on the Awash River. Proceed to Sodere resort to enjoy a swim in the spa/hot water and visit Nazareth, some point depending on visiting time lunch at a nice local restaurant and drive back to Addis Ababa.
